PCB Entrepreneur Establishes Company
Offering Quick-Turn PCA Prototypes

Latrobe, PA, July 23, 2008 — Buck Helfferich, an entrepreneur with nearly 30 years of experience in the printed circuit board assembly (PCA) market, has created TACH Technologies (a.k.a. TACH Tech). The company is providing engineers with prototyping of small-run, quick-turn and kit-build printed circuit board assemblies (PCAs) in as few as 24 hours for use in automation, robotics, medical, military, process control, consumer products, or other applications.

“We established TACH Tech because having worked with engineers for almost 30 years, we know the market needs a reliable prototype manufacturer,” says Helfferich, who serves as TACH Tech's president. “Prototyping is the only thing we do, so it's always a top priority for us, which helps engineers keep to their production schedules. We encourage clients to be at our facilities as often as they like because hands-on involvement can be mutually beneficial.”

TACH Tech's services include PCB assembly, re-work and repair for PCAs constructed using surface mount or through-hole technology, as well as cable and harnesss assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, and materials sourcing and procurement.

Depending upon a client's needs, TACH Tech can build prototypes using clients' parts, or can source them through the company's wide network of suppliers. TACH Tech's web site (www.tachtec.com) features an Engineering Forum that allows engineers to exchange technical tips, as well as blog about technical topics.
