Homewood Products Corporation Manufactures Compressed Air Breaker Life Extension Kits for Saudi Gas Separation Plant

Pittsburgh, PA, June 29, 2001 -- Homewood Products Corporation (HPC), an original equipment manufacturer and supplier of new parts and products for (pre-1986) Westinghouse Electric Corporation equipment, has manufactured 38 5,000-amp compressed air breaker life extension kits and installed them at a pair of major gas separation plants in Shedgum and Uthminiyah, Saudi Arabia. The facilities are among the world's largest gas separation plants.

The life extension kits, valued at nearly $ 2 million, are prolonging the usefulness of compressed air breakers that Westinghouse Electric Corporation manufactured and installed more than 20 years ago. By using HPC's compressed air breaker life extension kits, these plants will have saved more than $20 million in new equipment and construction costs.

Homewood Products Corporation (HPC) is an OEM that supplies new parts and pre-1986 products for Westinghouse Electric Corporation equipment worldwide.
